To find your settings for the default e-mail program:
Launch the Windows Control Panel.
On Windows XP, click Start and then click Control Panel.
If Control Panel is displayed in Category view, click Network and Internet Connections.
On Windows 2000, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, launch Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab. The default E-mail program is listed here.
To test your default e-mail program:
Click Start and then click Run.
In the Open box, type
mailto: yourname@companyname.com
Click OK. This launches a new e-mail message in your default e-mail program.
